How do I even describe this...(geeks only)

A few of my friends have taken
to periodically posting blog entries consisting mostly of links to other
articles that they think are intersting (sometimes called "link
blogging.") At first I found this lame, but I've taken to liking it in
small doses. I don't think I'm motivated to do this much myself, but I
do something similar when I use Google reader by clicking
the "share this item" button on articles I like from feeds I'm
subscribed to. The share button adds the link to friends I have on
google reader. But not everybody uses google reader, which brings us to
this link. The link below is to a page generated by google that
consists of my shared items, so it's basically a page of articles I find
through RSS and think are cool. And, brace yourselves, that page has an
RSS feed. So I invite everybody to subscribe to the RSS feed from my
RSS reader (FTN).

I snail-mailed random people Barack Obama's speech(!)

My wife was super-impressed with Barack Obama's recent speech on race
("A More Perfect Union"), and said I should read it. I did, and so was
very impressed as well. This is an account of what I decided to do with
that excitement: I printed out a bunch of copies of the speech and sent
it to random people in Pennsylvania. Linked entry includes a "digg
this" button. Also, notice that I'm trying to coin a hot new term
"blindenpost," (wrong) German for "blind mail."

Tex version of Barak Obama's "A More Perfect Union" speech

The unix geek audience may find useful the following tex file of Barak Obama's recent speech. Tex is an arcane file format for word processing that unix geeks love to death. It helped me create a kick-ass PDF of the speech here. If I stay motivated, I plan to print n copies and send them to random addresses in Pennsylvania.
